Is it just me...?

Is it excessively disrespectful to the office to depict the sitting President in this manner?

(Perhaps, given the room in which we might find this if it were functional, "sitting President" might not be my best choice of words.)

I depend on my friends to tell me when I'm mistaken, and I honestly want to know: Have those who disagree politically with the President and the party to which he belongs crossed a line here?

...Possibly. But. I must say I'm not surprised. This seems to me to be the logical conclusion to the kind of rhetoric that we've been hearing for not just the last 8 years, but more like the last 16. Or perhaps even 20.

You can't allow the national political dialogue to decay into what it's become today without it leading up to something like this, I don't think. On the other hand, if other people were sufficiently outraged by such a depiction of the President then maybe we could rein in some of the (for lack of a better term) "trash talking" and get back to a meaningful discussion of the national scene.

...Nah.

There's a fine line between satire and insult. Unfortunately most people tend to cross it.
